It’s not that experts of this sector don’t realise it (maybe those who are starting out), but it is mostly about those who have a bias and opinion. Most will choose to be willingly ignorant – and then push propaganda because they have no skin in the game. What I mean is they aren’t affected by the dogs who will benefit from using such tools (the ones they disagree with) nor are they involved with the dog owners whose dogs will benefit with such tools. That is why it is easy to use propaganda and frame it in a way to say ‘these tools are abusive’ etc. and who wants to be willingly abusive right? They will label trainers who use such tools as abusive, and who wants to train with anyone who might abuse their dog?
That is why it is important for each owner to have information to make an informed decision.
