To solve a problem you have to recognize your share of responsibility. If you only blame the others, you will never solve it – @CorpLeadershipBytes

These memes have blown my mind – and it is so relevant to my industry that I am not the only one who feels this frustration. I can tell you right now that many shelters, trainers and rescues that will not listen to reason are also killing dogs (directly or indirectly), which is just discussed. If only they would tell you the truth and say that THEY choose to train and rehabilitate dogs in a certain way, which has its limitations. I can tell you, not once has the Positive Only, Fear-free, Force-free etc. Trainers picked up the gauntlet!

Go and ask this question: “Would you rather put down a dog or use everything in the Training Toolbox in the world to teach dogs so they can have a good quality of life?” I can guarantee you one of two types of responses:

  1. You will never get a straight answer, but rather “no, I don’t want to hurt the dog”.
  2. People will throw it right back at your face to avoid answering the question, “it is so cruel to use aversive tools and techniques”, or “why would you want to be so cruel to a dog by making it suffer?”

Here are some fellow dog trainers that took the words right out of my mouth, make sure you listen until the end:  https://youtu.be/bHKRmXDMrys
